Angiogen, LLC is a discovery-based biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapies for treating cancerous solid, vascular tumors. Solid tumors require the development of new blood vessels for further growth in a process known as angiogenesis. The new blood vessels feed and nourish the tumor and allow tumor cells to escape into the circulation and lodge in other organs (tumor metastases).

Under the scientific leadership of Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer, Gerald A. Soff, M.D., from Northwestern University, a prominent physician and respected cancer researcher, Angiogen was the first to recognize the potential of combining two classes of FDA approved drugs into one anti-angiogenesis cancer-fighting treatment. The Company’s first drug, currently in a Phase I clinical trial, is based upon this Angiostatic Cocktail.

Angiogen’s continuous scientific pursuit offers hope to the approximately 5 million cancer patients worldwide who have not responded to traditional radiation and chemotherapy and may die each year.
